Terms & conditions

Last updated 24 September 2026.

Dayhop is run by Martin Zlatkov, a sole trader in England. “We” and “us” below mean him.

These are the terms you use Dayhop under. Using the site means you accept them. They are meant to be read, so they are written plainly rather than at length.

What Dayhop is

Dayhop is a search tool. It looks for pairs of flights that leave you real hours in another city on the same day, adds an estimate for getting to and from the airports, and shows you where to book.

We are not a travel agent and we do not sell flights. We take no payment, issue no tickets and hold no bookings. When you book, your contract is with the airline or the booking site you end up on, under their terms, and any change, cancellation, refund or complaint is between you and them.

Prices and times are estimates

Fares and flight times come from other companies and change constantly — sometimes between the page loading and you clicking through. Airport transfer times and costs are typical figures for public transport, not a quote for your journey on your day.

So: check the real price and the real times on the booking site before you pay for anything, and leave yourself more room than the estimate suggests. We do our best to show these honestly, but we cannot promise any number on the site is right at the moment you look at it.

How we are paid

If you book through a link here, the booking site usually pays us a small commission. It never costs you more than going to them directly. We also show ads, if you have allowed them.

We do not accept payment to put one result above another. Results are ordered by what they cost and how long they leave you in the city.

Membership

Most of Dayhop is free. Dayhop Plus is a paid membership that adds unlimited itineraries, more tracked flights and the day-trip board; what it includes, and what it costs, is shown on the membership page before you pay. Prices are in pounds and are the full amount you pay.

Paying. Payments are taken by Stripe, not by us, and Dayhop never sees your card. You pay when you join and then at the start of each month or year until you cancel.

Cancelling. You can cancel at any time from “Manage membership” on the flights page. You keep your membership until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again.

Changing your mind. Your membership starts as soon as you join. If you change your mind within 14 days of first joining, email us and we will refund that first payment in full. After that, payments are not refunded for part of a period, except where the law says otherwise. None of this affects your legal rights.

Changes. If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days before it applies, and it only applies from your next payment — so you can cancel first if you would rather. If we ever stop a paid feature or close Dayhop, we will refund the unused part of what you paid.

What it depends on. The board and flight tracking read airline timetables and flight data from FlightAware. Timetables change and are sometimes incomplete, so the board can miss a flight or show one that no longer runs. The daily and monthly limits of each plan are there to keep the service affordable; if something goes wrong on our side and you cannot use what you paid for, tell us and we will put it right.

Your account

You can use the search without an account. If you sign in with Google to save trips or keep a travel log, keep that Google account secure — anyone who can get into it can get into your Dayhop account.

Your travel log is yours. You can edit or delete any of it at any time, and we do not publish it or show it to anyone else. The passport picture you can make from it is yours to share wherever you like.

We may suspend or remove an account that is being used to attack the site or abuse other people.

Using it fairly

Dayhop is free and for personal use. Please do not scrape it, hammer it with automated queries, resell the data it shows, or try to break it or work around its limits. The site, its words and its design are ours; the photographs belong to their photographers and are credited where they appear.

Availability

We may change, pause or stop any part of Dayhop at any time. It is a free service and we do not promise it will always be up, always be accurate, or always find you something.

What we are responsible for

We are responsible for running the site honestly and for the things the law does not let us exclude.

We are not responsible for a booking you make with someone else, for a flight that is delayed or cancelled, for a train you miss because a transfer took longer than the estimate, or for a price that changed before you paid. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from relying on the information here.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot legally be limited. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected by any of this.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top says when they last changed, and continuing to use Dayhop after that means you accept the new version.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK or the EU, this does not take away the protection of the law where you live.
